Name: Suada
Age: 2 years
Gender: Female
Species: Hyena
Wanderer/Pack/Pride: Pack
Picture:
Apperance: Suada has a dark coat with barely visible markings. Her name Suada meaning Dark Beauty fits her. Although you can not see the amazing markings that grace her, she is a beautiful creature to lay your eyes upon. Her eyes are the color of the grasses in the summer. Her eyes are dark green, yet they have a light green shine, and white flecks. She has one long scar across her flank from when she was a pup. Lions had raided the den one had tried to scoop her out. Her ear is cut in a v-shape from where a thorn had pierced it and her mother had to take it from her flesh. She also has a healing wound from a recent run in with a wart-hog, whose tusk had grazed her muzzle.
Personality: Suada is very loving towards her pack and would give her life for any one of them. She is a loyal packmember believing fully in killing those who betray them. She loves the water. You can often find her swimming when water is available, night or day. But as it says in her name she has a dark side. She is not afraid to use her teeth and strength as a weapon. She is merciless towards enemies and would kill them without regret. She is always watching the pups, and handles them with care. She loves pups and hopes to have her own some day.
History: Suada's mother and father died noboly, fighting off an attack from the lions. Her mother was at the enterance to the den when a large male came through. It killed her quickly, but not without consequence. A deep wound in his foreleg was left and with that paw he reached forward for the pups. A single claw slid over the only female in the litter, leaving a deep gash along her side. She let out a yelp and scurried to the back of the den, lying below a small overhang. Her eyes were stretched wide in terror as she watched her brothers, bleeding, broken bodies being torn from their warm home. Their helpless cries filled the den and the open air. With that a large male hyena came forward and called the others to him, with a menacing cackling sound. The only light was blocked out and she was cast into shadow as more surrounded the den. Her whimpers attracted one hyena. A female and her mother's sister. She was picked up by the scruff and brought out into broad daylight. Her eyes fell upon every member there. The lions were running in the distance, but kept stopping to see what was behind them. Only the largest of the hyenas were in pursuit. Finding comfort among her aunt's fur as they settled down, sleep overtook her. She slept throughout the day. Her puphood was in safety and so was her next year. But the events that took place that day have haunted her since. She vowed to never let that happen to her pups or any other's pups.
RP Example: A dark shape moved through the long golden grasses. The calling of birds overhead and out on the savannah were the only signs of life on the hot day. Suada broke into a trot as the familiar sound of flamingos entered her ears and resonated in her head. Flamingos usually meant water and if there was no water, it was often a meal. The silent breeze that made it's rare appearance, was growing louder from the flat surface of the water before her. She charged full speed off the bank and into the murky depths. This was the palce she loved. There was no fear of crocodiles hiding in the muddy waters. She only had to watch out for elephants and lions, which were not a problem this time of year. Suada's head broke the surface and she took in a lungfull of fresh air. She flicked her ears to free them of the water and made her way to the shore. Shaking her fur off when she was out of the water, she lye in the short, soft grasses around the bank. The sun warmed her pelt and her eyes closed slowly. The water lapped softly at the shore and the flamingos that had at first been startled at her appearance had now settled down. The calling of the birds above had ceased as did the wind. Moments of peace and silence were like a blanket laid over her back as she slept.
